Christina “Christy” O’Brien chairs Henderson Franklin’s Divorce, Marital and Family Law Department, serves on the firm’s Executive Committee and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator. She represents clients throughout Southwest Florida in divorce, alimony, timesharing, paternity, domestic violence injunctions, post-judgment modifications, adoptions and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
Christy has extensive trial experience in both jury and non-jury matters and regularly handles family law cases involving complex parenting issues, business valuations and the tracing of marital assets and income. She also serves as a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem in Lee County and is certified to make recommendations regarding parenting plans and the best interests of children.
Active in The Florida Bar’s Family Law Section, Christy currently serves on the Family Law Rules Committee. She has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for Family Law since 2024.
