Chris has been with the Newport Beach office for six years and joined the firm just after becoming licensed. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a major in Political Science. He then attended Law School at Pepperdine, where he also completed his ADR certificate at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.
Chris’ practice with the firm focuses on complex civil litigation, including construction defect, general liability, and insurance coverage. Chris defends developers, general contractors, and subcontractors of all trades regarding their work on residential and commercial properties. He is involved in general liability matters and in evaluating coverage issues that have become prominent since the passage of Proposition 22 in California. Chris also supervises a team of associates in the Newport Beach office.
While not working, Mr. Filer enjoys spending time with his family and being an avid sports fan.
