Charlie Meyer is a seasoned employment litigator and trial lawyer who also provides counseling to businesses facing complex employment issues and workplace disputes. His experience includes the defense of employment discrimination claims asserted under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, Section 1981, and the Virginia Human Rights Act and related state laws. His employment practice also includes the defense of employment contract disputes, Title IX Claims, OSHA complaints, and restrictive covenant litigation. Charlie brings both trial experience and a deep understanding of employment law to assist clients in mitigating risk and navigating high-stakes employment litigation.
Charlie’s practice extends beyond employment law to include business litigation, professional liability, and directors and officers (D&O) defense. With a track record of over sixty jury trials and numerous bench trials in state and federal courts, Charlie brings successful courtroom experience and practical advice to help clients achieve their business and litigation objectives.
Prior to joining O’Hagan Meyer as a founding member and president, Mr. Meyer was a Vice President and shareholder of LeClairRyan, where he chaired the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Team. He also served as in-house counsel for United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company and previously was an associate with McGuire, Woods, Battle & Boothe.
