Charles A. Postler is a partner with Stichter, Riedel, Blain & Postler PA in Tampa, Florida. His practice focuses on Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights / Insolvency and Reorganization Law, Corporate Law, and Real Estate Law. He represents clients in sale, acquisition, and financing transactions across a broad range of industries, including matters involving public companies, multinational commercial enterprises, luxury resorts, and high-value assets such as 150-foot Feadship yachts.
Mr. Postler regularly advises clients in both traditional merger and acquisition transactions and complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. In the Chapter 11 context, he is frequently involved in drafting plans of reorganization and disclosure statements in many of the firm’s significant cases. His work also includes the preparation and negotiation of transactional documents, debtor-in-possession financing arrangements, and plan confirmation funding documents.
In addition to transactional matters, Mr. Postler maintains an active bankruptcy court practice and makes regular court appearances on behalf of debtors and other parties in interest. He has played a key role in the firm’s representation of publicly traded companies, including Accentia Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. and Biovest International, Inc., as well as hospitals and other healthcare-related entities in Chapter 11 proceedings.
Mr. Postler joined Stichter, Riedel, Blain & Postler PA as a partner in 1991. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced for eight years with Fowler, White, Gillen, Boggs, Villareal and Banker, P.A. in Tampa, Florida, where he was a partner at the time of his departure. During his tenure at Fowler, White, his practice included securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and banking law. He also served as co-counsel with the Stichter, Riedel firm in the Trust America Chapter 11 bankruptcy case.
