Chandrika Darroch

Chandrika is an experienced insurance litigator, having worked both in-house for insurance companies and in private practice in Australia and in the UK since 2005.

Her experience spans the areas of health and medical negligence, and includes work on large and complex matters including catastrophic injuries, maternal and infant birth trauma, and health regulatory matters.

Chandrika represents clients in coronial investigations and inquests, in disciplinary investigations and proceedings, and in medical malpractice litigation. She advises pharmacists, medical practitioners, dental practitioners, and a range of allied health care professionals. Her varied experience has allowed her to develop an understanding of the unique needs of her clients, with a focus on providing pragmatic and solutions-based advice.

Prior to working in private practice, Chandrika worked for two major insurance companies both in Australia and overseas, undertaking a range of liability work including motor vehicle, public liability and employers liability claims.

Chandrika is a former DRS Decision Maker for the New South Wales State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA), and is a New South Wales Law Society Accredited Specialist in personal injury law.
