Carroll Martin joined Scott Douglass & McConnico LLP in 1980, when the firm’s practice was focused on oil and gas litigation and regulatory matters. Based in Austin, Texas, she continues to concentrate her practice on Oil and Gas Law, representing clients in matters involving litigation, regulatory proceedings, transactional analysis, and mediation.
Her practice includes the analysis and drafting of oil and gas instruments and agreements, environmental regulation related to exploration and production activities, and proceedings before administrative agencies. Carroll also advises clients on a broad range of disputes involving lessors, lessees, operators, and non-operators throughout Texas.
Board certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law since 1986, Carroll has handled oil and gas disputes at both the trial and appellate levels in state and federal courts. In addition to her litigation and regulatory work, she completed mediator training in 1994 and has experience assisting parties in resolving complex energy-related disputes through mediation.
Carroll frequently speaks and writes on topics related to Oil and Gas Law and environmental regulation. She also contributed to the Environmental Law volumes of the Texas Practice series in 2005.
