Carrie Roane is a top attorney recognized by Best Lawyers in the practice area(s) of Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs.

Carrie, who practices law in Tallahassee, Florida, has been recognized since 2026. This recognition is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey, reflecting the high esteem in which Carrie is held by other top lawyers in the same geographic and legal practice area.

Carrie was born and raised with three older brothers on the shores of the Caloosahatchee River and Gulf of Mexico in Ft. Myers, Florida. The first in her family to graduate from college, she graduated with honors from Florida State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. While at FSU, she was a proud member of the FSU Flying High Circus! Carrie earned her Juris Doctor in 1999 at the University of Miami School of Law, magna cum laude.

She was a member of the prestigious University of Miami Law Review, as well a member of the Order of the Coif, which is an honor bestowed on the top 10% of the graduating members of a law school class. While in Miami, Carrie gained invaluable experience as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge David Gersten at Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal.

In 1998, Carrie moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked as a summer associate in the litigation section of one of the world’s largest law firms and where she had the privilege of completing her third year of law school at Georgetown University Law Center. Following graduation, Carrie served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Administrative Law Judge Richard Stansell-Gamm with the United States Department of Labor.

Carrie spent the first 15 years of her legal career in Tallahassee as a defense litigator whose primary focus was defending a wide array of professionals sued in malpractice actions. Before joining her former rivals and very good friends at Fasig | Brooks in July 2016, Carrie was a shareholder in a prominent defense litigation firm, a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, and she was named as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2014.

A seasoned trial lawyer, Carrie is now very proud to join such an esteemed group of people at Fasig | Brooks who work tirelessly to protect the rights of others. She is eager to use her legal skills, which are well-honed from many years of defense practice, to achieve justice for her clients and improve their overall lives.

Carrie enjoys playing co-ed soccer with Tallahassee Soccer Association and Warner Soccer, travelling, and being on the boat with her family. She is also committed to improving our community and currently serves as the Director of Southwood Gives Back and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Tallahassee-Leon County Shelter. Carrie and her husband Jaken, also a litigation attorney, are the proud parents of two sons.

Fasig | Brooks has won the Tallahassee people’s choice “Tally Award” for “Best Law Firm” in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, and the “Best in Tallahassee” for “Best Law Practice” in 2015.
