Biography
Carol Willis Butrus serves as Chair of the Estate Planning Practice Section within FBFK Law’s Taxation Group. With more than two decades of experience, her practice focuses on estate planning, wealth preservation, trust and estate administration, taxation, and charitable organizations.
Carol advises individuals and families on planning strategies designed to preserve and transfer wealth efficiently across generations. Her work includes preparing estate planning documents for both large and small estates, including wills, trusts, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, family limited partnerships, and family wealth preservation structures. She also assists clients with trust and estate administration matters and advises on the creation and operation of tax-exempt and charitable organizations.
In addition to her planning practice, Carol represents clients in probate and trust-related disputes, providing guidance through complex estate administration and litigation matters.
Carol is admitted to practice in Texas and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America (2026 Edition).
