Carol Nemeth Joven

Carol Nemeth Joven is an attorney with Williams Law Group LLC in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she represents individuals and businesses in complex litigation and appellate matters. Her practice includes Legal Malpractice Law – Plaintiffs, antitrust litigation, and other high-stakes civil disputes. She has tried cases in both Indiana state and federal courts, including matters that resulted in multi-million-dollar jury verdicts. Carol has also represented clients in civil rights cases, including families whose children were wrongfully removed from their custody.

In addition to trial work, Carol maintains an active appellate practice. Over the course of her career, she has drafted hundreds of appellate briefs and presented oral argument before the Indiana Supreme Court and the Indiana Court of Appeals. Her prior experience includes service as a judicial clerk to the Honorable John G. Baker of the Indiana Court of Appeals and as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Indiana, providing her with substantial insight into appellate procedure and judicial decision-making.

Carol’s work has been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell with an AV Preeminent Rating. She has also been selected by Super Lawyers for Business Litigation and by Best Lawyers in America for Legal Malpractice Law – Plaintiffs. Carol earned her B.A. in Economics, with High Distinction, and a Certificate in Liberal Arts and Management from Indiana University in Bloomington, where she was invited to join Phi Beta Kappa. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University in Bloomington and served on the Indiana Law Journal staff. During law school, she received the American Jurisprudence Award for Civil Procedure.

Carol is actively involved in the Indianapolis legal community. She has served for many years on the Executive Committee of the Appellate Practice Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association, including a term as Chair. She regularly volunteers as a moot court judge for the Indiana Appellate Institute, presents continuing legal education programs on appellate law, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation.
