Carla Calogero focuses her practice on estate and advance care planning, probate and trust administration, guardianships/conservatorships, and elder and special needs law. As part of her Trusts and Estates practice at Reed Longyear Corwin Burnett & Calogero, PLLC in Seattle, Washington, Carla works with individuals and families to address estate planning, probate, trusts, incapacity planning, and long-term care considerations.
Carla assists clients with preparing individualized estate plans, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives. She also guides personal representatives, trustees, and beneficiaries through probate and trust administration following the death or incapacity of a loved one. Her practice includes representing clients in guardianship and conservatorship proceedings and advising families navigating elder care, dementia-related concerns, disability matters, and special needs planning.
Clients appreciate Carla’s thoughtful and practical approach to complex personal and legal matters. She works closely with individuals and families to help them understand their options and make informed decisions regarding estate planning, trusts, probate administration, and elder law issues.
Carla is an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Seattle and Washington Women in Tax. She previously served as Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Washington State Bar Association and currently serves as Chair of the Guardianship and Elder Law Section of the King County Bar Association. She has also served for more than thirteen years on the executive committees of both organizations.
In addition, Carla has received more than 90 appointments from the King County Superior Court to serve as Guardian ad Litem, court-appointed attorney, or Special Representative for incapacitated persons and minors in guardianship, conservatorship, trust, probate, and related litigation matters.
