Biography
With a long-standing background in collaborative law, mediation, and litigation, Dallas, Texas divorce attorney Carie Silvestri brings creativity, empathy, and strategic thinking to every matter she handles at Hargrave Family Law. She is known for listening carefully to client concerns while navigating complex family law issues with clarity and care. Carie focuses her practice exclusively on Family Law, including Collaborative Law: Family Law, allowing her to devote her full attention to each client and case.
A native Texan and graduate of SMU School of Law (now SMU Dedman School of Law), Carie has practiced law since 1999 and has concentrated solely on family law since 2006. Before joining Hargrave Family Law, she operated her own family law practice in Allen, Texas. Her work has involved a wide range of family law matters, including child custody, property division, divorce, and collaborative dispute resolution.
Carie is actively involved in the collaborative divorce community and has presented at conferences hosted by the State Bar of Texas, Collaborative Divorce Texas, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She remains committed to professional development and advanced training, including participation in mediation-focused programs such as the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School’s Harvard Negotiation Institute.
Carie has been included in Best Lawyers in America for Collaborative Law: Family Law since 2015 and for Family Law since 2016. Hargrave Family Law has also received a Tier 1 ranking in Best Law Firms since 2017. In 2023, Carie was named Lawyer of the Year for Collaborative Law in Dallas/Fort Worth by Best Lawyers.
At Hargrave Family Law, Carie supports the firm’s mission to resolve family law matters with care and minimal disruption whenever possible. “My intention is always to guide clients toward resolution with empathy, offering options that align with their goals and help move their case forward. I am passionate about helping families focus on the future,” she says.
