His practice is centered on acting for and against financial institutions in banking-related litigation, securities enforcement and insolvency proceedings. He has practised across every State and Territory in Australia, in specialist tribunals and alternative dispute resolution processes.
Cameron’s practice spans banking and finance litigation, insolvency proceedings and commercial disputes. His work for financial institution clients includes mortgage enforcement and power of sale claims, preference and director duties claims in insolvency contexts, negligent audit proceedings, and representing creditors in the appointment and oversight of liquidators and other insolvency practitioners. His commercial disputes work covers contract, corporations law and general commercial claims. He has also been involved in mediations and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
Cameron has acted in Federal Court proceedings involving negligent audit claims exceeding A$35 million, mortgage enforcement proceedings in the special jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of South Australia, and a broad range of insolvency-related litigation including preference claims, director duties disputes and contested creditor proceedings. He has practised in each State and Territory and regularly appears in superior courts across jurisdictions.
