Caitlin Loyd

Caitlin is a Seattle, Washington attorney with Helsell Fetterman LLP whose practice focuses on estate planning, trust administration, probate, and related tax matters. She works with individuals, families, and business owners to address estate, tax, and succession considerations at many stages of life. Her work includes advising on trusts, wills, and strategies designed to help clients manage wealth transfer while navigating federal and Washington tax rules.

Caitlin’s practice includes Closely Held Companies and Family Businesses Law, Tax Law, and Trusts and Estates. She regularly assists clients with revocable living trusts, irrevocable trusts, wills, and charitable planning tools, as well as the administration of trusts and estates. She also advises families and business owners on planning considerations that may affect both personal and business assets, helping them address continuity and long-term planning objectives.

Before joining Helsell Fetterman LLP, Caitlin worked with clients across the Puget Sound region on estate planning and probate matters. Her experience includes preparing a range of estate planning documents and guiding families through trust and estate administration. She approaches each matter with careful attention to detail and an understanding that each family’s financial, personal, and business circumstances are different.

Originally from Alaska, Caitlin earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She received both her Juris Doctor and her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Washington. Outside the office, Caitlin enjoys spending time on Lake Union, watching football, and trying New York Times recipes.
