Bryan has a broad practice dealing with construction disputes, builders’ liens, debt collection, product liability, shareholders’ disputes, disciplinary proceedings, and general contractual disputes having appeared as lead counsel before all levels of Court in Alberta, the Federal Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal, and in leave applications to the Supreme Court of Canada. In addition, he also has extensive experience as counsel in both domestic and international arbitrations.
While Bryan is an experienced courtroom advocate, he is called upon regularly to provide strategic advice prior to litigation commencing and to assist clients with developing bespoke contracts to avoid litigation.
Bryan utilizes legal project management and the latest in legal technology in his practice.
In his business immigration practice, Bryan assists employers and individuals with a variety of immigration matters. Bryan is frequently asked to prepare and submit large volumes of applications to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada as well as to Service Canada. With the assistance of McLennan Ross’ preeminent Labour & Employment lawyers, he also assists employers with developing labour strategies and responding to immigration audits.
Bryan’s immigration practice includes appellate advocacy. He has appeared as lead counsel before the Immigration Board, Immigration Appeal Division and the Federal Court of Canada on immigration appeals and judicial review applications.
