Brooke Albert Howard is a Raleigh, North Carolina, trial lawyer with Howard Law LLC, with more than 15 years of experience representing individuals who have suffered significant financial or physical harm. A substantial part of her practice is devoted to representing investors in investment fraud and securities disputes involving financial advisors, brokerage firms, and other financial professionals.
Brooke represents investors in FINRA arbitrations and securities litigation involving unsuitable investment recommendations, investment fraud and misrepresentations, excessive concentration, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, failure to supervise, and other forms of broker and financial advisor misconduct. She has particular experience representing retirees and other individual investors whose retirement savings have been placed in complex, high-risk, illiquid, or otherwise unsuitable investments.
In addition to investment fraud and securities cases, Brooke handles select catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, and other complex civil litigation matters. Her broader litigation experience includes a $2 million product liability settlement recognized among North Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s Top Verdicts and Settlements and a $975,000 construction-accident settlement.
Before focusing her practice primarily on representing plaintiffs and investors, Brooke represented defendants and insurance companies and worked for a North Carolina appellate court judge. That experience allows her to evaluate cases from multiple perspectives, anticipate defenses, and identify the issues likely to drive litigation and settlement decisions.
Brooke earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, in Economics and Political Science from the University of Florida, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She is admitted to practice in all North Carolina state and federal courts and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. She was selected as a North Carolina “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers each year from 2013 through 2022.
Based in Raleigh, Brooke represents investors and other clients throughout North Carolina in complex financial and civil litigation.
