Biography
Brooke I. Golding has been exclusively practicing Family Law for more than 25 years. Ms. Golding has represented both spouses and children during the divorce process. Ms. Golding previously served as an approved member of the Cook County Domestic Relations Division’s List of Court Certified Mediators and as an approved member of the Child Representative List for both the Circuit Court of Cook County Domestic Relations Division and the 19th Judicial Circuit of Lake County Family Division. Ms. Golding provides her clients with individualized attention and encourages her clients to explore creative solutions through negotiation or mediation as a means to achieve his or her objectives.
Ms. Golding prides herself on attempting to maximize her client’s time and resources by striving to resolve complicated issues through negotiation. Ms. Golding’s strong negotiation skills are a direct result of her experience in crafting and effectively communicating alternative options to individuals as an advocate, mediator or children’s representative. Ms. Golding recognizes that every family is unique and that the process of how you approach each divorce is equally as important as the substantive issues. Ms. Golding understands that not all cases may be resolved outside the courtroom and she possesses the knowledge and experience to aggressively advocate for her clients in Court.
Ms. Golding is a member of the State of Illinois Bar and the United States District of the Northern District of Illinois. She completed a divorce mediation-training course and received a Certificate of Completion from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois and completed the family law collaborative training with the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois. Ms. Golding includes divorce mediation and collaborative divorce in her practice.
Brooke earned her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University School of Law in Chicago, Illinois where she was a member of the Loyola Law Journal. Ms. Golding obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with high distinction.
