Tractor-Trailer Collision
Our client was a 78-year-old man traveling through Essex, Virginia with his wife. While on Howerton Road, the defendant, driving a Mack tractor-trailer, failed to stop at the stop sign and T-boned the plaintiff’s SUV.
The damage was extensive, and our plaintiff was med flighted from the scene to VCU Medical Center. He was an inpatient for fifteen days recovering before he was transferred to a rehabilitation center. He suffered fractures of his left leg and hip, and a deep laceration to the left arm. He continues to suffer from permanent nerve damage. Though his wife was also a passenger in the SUV, she only suffered minor injuries.
The insurance company for the tractor-trailer ultimately paid all of their coverage, and the plaintiff also collected from his personal auto coverage.
