Q&A
Why settle for less when you can have a top-rated, award-winning legal team who achieves Proven #1 Highest Settlements for their clients?
At Easton & Easton, we are paladins of the legal profession — determined advocates of noble causes. When you hire us, you don't just get one attorney — you get our entire family. With more than 100 years of combined experience, we have recovered more than $500 million for our clients, including more than $100 million in the past 5 years alone.
At our firm, I'm known as "The Fixer." The hardest and most complex cases land on my shoulders — cases other attorneys have rejected or deemed unwinnable. It's my job to fix them or take them to trial and win. We have the experience and collective inquisitive nature to reveal facts that help turn what would initially seem like a six-figure settlement into a seven- or eight-figure award.
We prepare every case from day one as if we're going to trial — and insurance companies know it.

When someone is hurt in an accident, they usually have the following urgent concerns:
"Will this cost me anything?" No. We work on a contingency fee basis — no fee unless we win. You pay nothing upfront, and we only get paid if we recover compensation for you. That's why our expertise and judgment are so important: we don't win unless you win.
"How long will it take?" Every case is different, but our goal is to resolve your case as efficiently as possible while maximizing your recovery. We prepare every case from day one as if we're going to trial. This ensures insurance companies take us seriously and come to the table prepared to negotiate in good faith.
"Can you help me get out of pain?" Yes. We can connect you with the doctors you need and help get your treatment costs covered while your case is pending. We handle the medical bills, insurance companies, and police reports so you can focus on just getting better.
"Will my insurance rates go up?" No. Filing a claim against the other driver won't affect your rates.
"What is my case worth?" That depends on many factors — the severity of your injuries, the impact on your life, lost wages, medical bills, and more. We've turned cases that initially seemed like six-figure settlements into seven- or eight-figure awards by uncovering facts that others miss. Every case has a story, and it's our job to tell yours.
$22,250,000 Bicycle Accident (The $25K Policy That Became $22.25M):
One of our most memorable cases this year involved a bicyclist in Orange County who suffered orthopedic and traumatic brain injuries when a driver suffered a diabetic event and struck him. The driver only had a $25,000 policy limit — which would have been the end of the story at most firms.
But we dug deeper. Our investigation uncovered that the defendant's employer knew about the diabetic condition and failed to properly accommodate their employee. The employer's conduct and unreasonable work conditions put the driver in a position to cause the accident, making them vicariously liable.
What initially looked like a $25,000 case became a $22,250,000 pre-trial settlement.
This case exemplifies our philosophy: we have the experience and collective inquisitive nature to reveal facts that help turn what would initially seem like a six-figure settlement into a seven- or eight-figure award. Every case has a story — it's our job to uncover it.*

The most challenging aspect of personal injury law is that we're almost always fighting Goliaths — large insurance companies and corporations with unlimited resources whose sole objective is to pay injured victims as little as possible.
These defendants will spend millions defending a case rather than fairly compensating someone they've harmed. The challenge is leveling the playing field through relentless preparation and investigation.
On the surface, a case might look simple. But we dig deeper. In one recent case, a driver only had $25,000 in coverage — which would have been the end of the story at most firms. Our investigation uncovered that the driver's employer was vicariously liable. That case became a $22.25 million settlement.
Every case has a story. The challenge is uncovering it when defendants are working just as hard to keep it buried. We do it by preparing every case from day one as if we're going to trial — and insurance companies know it.

Growing up, I would see my dad working very hard as a lawyer. As I watched him, I started to realize that not only was he able to provide for our family, but more importantly, his work was helping change people's lives.
I saw the clients who came to our home to meet with him — people who were hurting, scared, and didn't know where to turn. I saw how much they revered my dad for fighting on their behalf. He was their hero.
That's when I knew I wanted to do the same thing. Now, after nearly 30 years practicing personal injury law, I've realized I made the correct career choice. Not only do I get to work alongside my father and brothers every day, but I get to help people who are injured and change their lives forever.
The best part of my job is when I finish a case and a client tells me thank you — and I realize I did something for them that nobody else could have done.
When I'm not at work, you'll find me on a golf course or surfing in the ocean. I've found that staying active helps me be a better advocate for my clients — it clears my head and gives me perspective.
But my greatest joy is spending time with my wife and three children. Family is central to everything I do, both at home and at the firm. Working alongside my father and brothers every day is one of the greatest blessings of my career.
At our firm, I'm known as "The Fixer." The hardest and most complex cases land on my shoulders — cases other attorneys have rejected or deemed unwinnable. It's my job to fix them or take them to trial and win.
In 2024, I was honored to receive the Joseph D. McNeil Attorney Civility Award from the Orange County Chapter of ABOTA* — given only once a year to a trial lawyer who exhibits exemplary skill, ethics, and civility. It meant a great deal because it reflects what my father taught us: you can fight hard for your clients while treating everyone with respect.
I'm also fortunate to spend every day working alongside my father and brothers. When people ask what it's like working with family, they expect me to say it's a nightmare. It's actually the opposite — it's one of the greatest joys of my life. Together, we get to help people through the worst moments of their lives and change their futures for the better.
