Brian L. Salvi joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., in 2013 and was named Partner in 2019. He concentrates his legal practice on cases that involve personal injury, products liability and medical malpractice.

Since joining the firm, Mr. Salvi has obtained the following noteworthy results at trial:

  • A $50.3 million jury verdict on behalf of a young boy who suffered a brain injury at birth
  • A $21.05 million jury verdict on behalf of a woman who suffered a thoracic spine injury
  • A $17.9 million jury verdict on behalf of a 47-year-old Lombard woman who was hit by a truck
  • A $9 million jury verdict for the family of a father and son killed in a Boone County car crash. The award is the highest jury verdict on record in Boone County, Ill.
  • A $1.4 million verdict on behalf of a woman who was injured in a Roscoe, Ill. parking lot accident.
  • A $1.3 million jury verdict for the family of a motorcyclist who was killed in a Chicago collision with a pickup truck
  • $1.26 medical malpractice verdict in a federal tort claim against government-employed physicians in United States District Court – Northern District of Illinois Eastern Division.

    In 2022, Mr. Salvi and his wife, Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard attorney Eirene N. Salvi, obtained a $4.25 million settlement on behalf of the family of a 13-year-old boy who was killed in a car crash. The settlement is the highest wrongful death settlement on record in Kendall County. In 2020, Mr. Salvi obtained a $7.5 million and a $3 million settlement in medical malpractice cases. In 2018, he obtained a $2.1 million settlement on behalf of a man who sustained a traumatic brain injury in a DuPage County motorcycle crash one day before trial was set to begin. The same year, he also secured a $2.7 million settlement on behalf of an individual who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a pedestrian versus motor vehicle collision. In 2017, he obtained a $4.5 million settlement in an institutional negligence case against a mental health facility for their failures in treating a patient.

    In recognition of his outstanding legal work, Mr. Salvi was honored by Crain’s Chicago Business as a Notable Rising Star in Law and was named to Law Bulletin Media’s elite “40 Under Forty” attorney list that recognizes the top up-and-coming lawyers in Illinois. Mr. Salvi has also been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch and by Illinois Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” every year since 1016. From 2016 to 2021, he was honored as an Emerging Lawyer by Law Bulletin Media. In 2019, Mr. Salvi was listed among the Top 10 Emerging Lawyers in the state of Illinois. In 2022, Mr. Salvi was recognized as a Leading Lawyer by Law Bulletin Media, an honor reserved for less than 5% of all lawyers licensed in each state.

    Mr. Salvi received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

    As a law school student, Mr. Salvi competed in the American Association for Justice’s Student Trial Advocacy Competition as a member of Notre Dame’s mock trial team. The team won the 2012 and 2013 Regional Championships in Louisville. In 2013, the team compiled an 11-0 record and outperformed 220 other teams in Regional and National competition in route to winning the National Championship in New Orleans.

    Before he joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., as an attorney, Mr. Salvi served as a law clerk with the firm.

    Additional credentials and distinctions include: memberships in the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Lake County Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the American Association of Justice. Mr. Salvi is also a Chicago advisory board member of the Concussion Legacy Foundation.
