Brendan Piovesan is a Partner in the corporate & commercial and real estate groups at Farris LLP in Vancouver, British Columbia. His practice focuses on Banking and Finance Law and Real Estate Law, with an emphasis on advising private real estate developers, investors, lenders and businesses involved in complex development projects throughout British Columbia.
Brendan advises clients through all stages of real estate development, including site acquisition, project structuring, partnership and investment arrangements, financing transactions, and project completion. He regularly assists with preparing offering memoranda and related disclosure documents, negotiating and drafting easements, rights of way, ground leases and air space subdivision agreements, and obtaining rezoning approvals and municipal permits required for development projects.
His practice also includes representing borrowers and lenders in secured financing matters involving major banks, credit unions and mortgage investment corporations across British Columbia. Brendan works closely with in-house counsel, municipal representatives, commercial real estate brokers and sales and marketing teams to help clients address the legal and business considerations that arise during the course of a development project.
Before joining Farris LLP, Brendan practiced real estate development law with a Vancouver-based firm, where he advised clients on a broad range of commercial real estate and development matters.
