Biography
Bradley S. Zimmerman is the Managing Partner at the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Firm in New York, New York. Throughout his career, he has focused his practice on representing injured individuals and families, with particular attention to children who have suffered trauma at birth. His work centers on holding negligent parties accountable and pursuing financial recovery for children facing catastrophic and lifelong injuries.
Mr. Zimmerman regularly handles complex cases involving medical malpractice and personal injury litigation on behalf of plaintiffs. His experience includes claims arising from obstetrical negligence, failure to diagnose serious medical conditions, preventable heart attacks, aortic aneurysms, strokes, avoidable amputations, and preventable vision loss caused by untreated or mismanaged infections. He has also served as Chair of Birth Trauma Seminars for the New York State Trial Lawyers Institute, where he teaches attorneys how to litigate obstetrical injury cases.
Known for his thorough preparation and client-focused approach, Mr. Zimmerman has resolved numerous multi-million dollar matters through mediation and trial. He is frequently recognized for his professionalism, courtroom advocacy, and commitment to guiding clients through difficult legal and medical issues.
Mr. Zimmerman earned his Bachelor of Arts from Franklin and Marshall College in 1988 and his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware in 1991. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and represents clients before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of New York, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
He is actively involved in professional organizations and serves on the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and a member of the Medical Malpractice Committee of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. In addition, Mr. Zimmerman is a long-standing member of the American Association for Justice, a Fellow of the American Bar Association, and a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
Mr. Zimmerman regularly writes and lectures on topics relevant to medical malpractice law and personal injury litigation. His publications include NY Birth Injury Rulings Show Medical Fund is Working (Law360, April 2021), Birth Trauma Litigation Plaintiff Perspective (NYSTLI, June 2021), Nursing Home Litigation and Medical Malpractice (NYSTLI), Pretrial Issues in Laparoscopic Negligence Cases (ATLA Professional Negligence Section Newsletter), and Legislative Caps Take Away the Judge’s Function (New York Law Journal).
He has also lectured extensively on medical malpractice litigation, including programs on cross-examination techniques and mediating claims against hospitals. Recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2014, Mr. Zimmerman continues to focus his practice on Medical Malpractice Law – Plaintiffs and Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs. Outside of the practice of law, he is a music artist and composer, with one of his songs reaching the top of retail music charts and receiving more than three million plays.
