Bill McCarthy

Bill has been a legal practitioner for over 30 years specialising in personal injury law including motor vehicle accidents and public liability, workers compensation, medical and dental negligence, and historical child sexual abuse cases. His practice also includes commercial litigation in the ACT courts involving insurance and professional indemnity issues, building and contract disputes, and employment matters.

Bill’s straightforward manner complements his extensive experience and knowledge, benefiting his clients not only in delivering successful outcomes, but as a kind and grounded advocate during the difficult process of litigation. He strives to build a solid relationship with his clients as he assists them in understanding the often complex nature of their claims.

A dedicated collector of art, many of his artworks line the walls of BAL’s Canberra House offices. He is an active member of the local art community serving on the Board of Australian National Capital Artists (ANCA) and has previously had an ancillary role with Megalo Print Studio.
