Biography

Mission statement: Law for projects that shape the future.

Dr. Bettina Enderle, founder of Enderle Environmental Law, is a German attorney who, for over two decades, has been practicing EU and German environmental law for national and international clients. She founded the boutique law firm Enderle Environmental Law in 2014 after nearly 14 years with a magic circle law firm, where she also headed the German environmental law practice. In that time she has advised and represented her clients in nearly all areas of environmental law. She says:

“Today, I run my own law firm in Frankfurt: focused, long-term, and close to my clients. The best cases arise where the law is not used reactively, but rather to shape projects, processes, and organizations—solutions that do not only ensure compliance with environmental law but also produce positive results.

Specialist advice: Over the years, I have seen a great deal and have advised and represented my clients in nearly all areas of environmental law. I have particular expertise in two fields:

Waste and Product Law / Circular Economy: Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), substance bans, take-back systems, and the new EU regulations on batteries, vehicles, electrical appliances, and packaging. I assist medium-sized and large companies in integrating their products and production processes into the circular economy in a legally compliant manner. These clients need legal partners who think proactively rather than just issuing warnings—and I develop solutions where new regulations exist but no precedents have yet been established.

Infrastructure Permits / Planning Approval: Roads, waterways, rail, pipelines. We cannot do without infrastructure - but we can improve it. I represent public-sector project developers and major construction companies, as well as local governments, in the preparation and planning approval processes. I provide support from the early planning stages through to court proceedings — serving as a steadfast, reliable partner at your side.

What sets me apart: Expertise gained from over 20 years of EU and German environmental law — and a willingness to think outside the box where no regulations, guidelines or court rulings yet exist. I understand the technology and the subject matter well enough to develop truly compelling arguments. And I remain — as a professional partner, not just a service provider.

What drives me: The understanding that good solutions arise from interdisciplinary collaboration and that regulation is a tool for shaping the future, not merely a constraint. Environmental law, in this sense, is a driver of growth for our future.

Let’s shape the future together!
