Betsy has practiced her entire career at Cohen Dowd Durchslag (CDD). She joined CDD in 2008, following a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Chief Justice Ruth V. McGregor of the Arizona Supreme Court. Betsy’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including appeals. Betsy routinely handles complex legal issues and litigation positions for clients in the private and public section. Her cases have involved a wide spectrum of issues, ranging from breach of contract, defamation, breach of fiduciary duty, conspiracy and business disputes to Section 1983, Title IX and Title VII claims. Betsy has litigated cases in state and federal court. Betsy also has significant appellate experience, representing clients on appeal before Arizona’s appellate courts, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court. Betsy has handled oral argument on novel legal issues before the Arizona Court of Appeals, the Arizona Supreme Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Betsy is also an active member of her community, serving as a court-appointed member of the Foster Care Review Board in Maricopa County since 2016 and spending time volunteering at her children’s school.
