Besar Thaci is a Senior Associate in the New York, New York office of Peckar & Abramson PC. His practice focuses on Construction Law and Litigation - Construction, as well as complex commercial litigation and real estate matters. He represents owners, developers, contractors, and other project participants in disputes arising from construction projects and commercial transactions.
Besar represents clients in New York state and federal courts and manages matters from initial case assessment through discovery, motion practice, and trial. He has served as first and second chair in trials and is experienced in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of agreements, including contracts for the sale of real property, leases, asset purchase agreements, and other commercial contracts. His litigation and transactional experience allows him to address construction and commercial disputes with a practical, detail-oriented approach.
Prior to practicing law in the United States, Besar worked at law firms in Albania, where he represented foreign and domestic corporations in civil litigation and commercial transactions. This background provides him with additional perspective when advising clients on cross-border and complex business matters.
Besar earned his law degree from the University of Tirana and holds two Master of Laws degrees from Stockholm University in Sweden (2011) and Pace Law School (2017), where he graduated cum laude. He is fluent in Albanian and Italian.
