Ben is an associate in the Labor & Employment practice group, advising clients in federal and state courts and other forums, including the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR), in all phases of labor and employment litigation. He also defends companies against employment discrimination claims. Additionally, Ben counsels clients on litigation and non-litigation matters.
Before becoming an attorney, Ben clerked for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in the Criminal Appeals Division. He later obtained a 711 license and appeared in court to defend clients against felony charges on behalf of the Public Defender’s Office, achieving courtroom victories through both pre-trial motion practice and at trial.
In his final year of law school, he assisted fraud victims with Northwestern’s Complex Litigation and Investor Protection Clinic. During that time, Ben also became a certified Mediator through the Center for Conflict Resolution, meditating on various cases in Chicago’s Daley Center Courthouse, which included small claims matters, breach of contract disputes and landlord-tenant litigation.
