Ben acts as counsel in franchise and commercial disputes in Ontario, British Columbia and elsewhere in Canada; writes frequently about franchise disputes and commercial arbitration; served as founder and chair of the Joint Subcommittee of Franchising of the Ontario Bar Association (predecessor to the Franchise Law Section); taught civil litigation at the Law Society of Ontario; chaired and presented at numerous continuing legal education programs; served on many bar committees and executives; member, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, ADR Institute of Canada, Toronto Commercial Arbitration Society; listed in the Best Lawyers in Canada and Lexpert Canadian Legal Directory as a leading franchise practitioner.

Ben is a member of the Ontario and British Columbia Bars. He holds a JD and LLM degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. He is certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Civil Litigation and holds a Fellow designation with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
