Born in Freiburg im Breisgau in 1971, Dr. Bastian Schmidt-Vollmer trained as a shipping agent before going on to study law at the University of Hamburg and the University of Southampton, UK. He obtained his Master of Maritime Law there in 1999 and went on to earn a doctorate in “Maritime Liens and Their Enforcement”.
In 2000, Dr. Schmidt-Vollmer and his partners founded a company in the field of business domain management. Since then, he has been active as a member of the supervisory board and an active shareholder in addition to his work as a lawyer.
Dr. Schmidt-Vollmer has worked in ZENK’s corporate law division since 2003. He advises companies and entrepreneurs on corporate and capital market law issues and supports them in conducting transactions. A further focus of his practice is advising on and supporting the establishment of subscriptions for capital investment products in the tangible asset investments field (bonds and alternative investment funds) and litigation issues pertaining to such products.
