Barbara Hart is a shareholder with Stichter, Riedel, Blain & Postler PA in Tampa, Florida, where her practice focuses on Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights / Insolvency and Reorganization Law, as well as Litigation – Bankruptcy. She is an active member of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar and previously served as the Association’s President and Chair of the Board. Barbara has also served as Chair of the District-Wide Steering Committee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida and as Chair of the IWIRC Florida Network, which recognized her with its 2021 Trailblazer Award.
Ms. Hart earned her Juris Doctor, with honors, from Stetson University College of Law. While at Stetson, she served as Managing Editor of the Stetson Law Review and received the Judge Stanley Milledge Award and the McBride Family Scholarship. Following law school, she completed a two-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable K. Rodney May, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Florida.
Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law, Barbara represents businesses and individuals in bankruptcy, insolvency, and reorganization matters, as well as related litigation in state and federal courts. Her practice includes Chapter 11 reorganizations, asset protection planning, sales of distressed assets, financial restructurings, workouts of commercial debt, assignments for the benefit of creditors, receiverships, and business dissolutions. She works closely with clients to develop practical strategies tailored to complex financial and legal challenges.
