Avra Rosen

Avra has been a renowned family law litigator for 40 years, with extensive trial and appellate experience at the highest levels of the Ontario Courts including the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal. She is certified as a family law specialist by the Law Society of Ontario. Avra now acts as counsel to the firm's family law clients, having pivoted her practice to acting as a mediator and arbitrator in family law and in combined family law/commercial law of disputes.

Avra is an accredited family law mediator (AccFM). As a mediator and arbitrator, Avra provides spouses and their counsel with firm, fair outcomes for all parties involved. Avra has intimate understanding of how to guide and influence the alternative dispute processes from beginning to resolution. She relies on her experience to bring an empathetic and innovative approach to conducting mediation. As an Arbitrator, Avra relies on her extensive trial experience and family law knowledge and experience, to case manage, litigation manage, conduct arbitrations and issue arbitral awards

Avra lectures frequently on family law topics for the Law Society of Ontario, Osgoode Professional Development and the Ontario Bar Association, and is the author of numerous family law articles.
