Biography

Avery Ryou is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Affordable Housing and Real Estate group. She represents clients in a wide variety of sophisticated real estate transactions.

My focus

My practice focuses on various aspects of real estate development, including acquisition, financing, and disposition of affordable housing properties. My experience includes advising institutional lenders in all phases of loan originations for residential and commercial real estate transactions, drafting and negotiating loan documents, performing due diligence, title and survey review, and leasing matters.

Looking ahead

As affordable housing remains critical for communities and the overall economy, owners and developers continue to look for innovative and cost-effective ways to build and preserve affordable housing. Policymakers are proposing and employing creative solutions to increase affordable housing projects. I look forward to helping owners and developers navigate and benefit from policies that expand the affordable housing inventory.
