Atsutoshi specializes in advising clients on domestic and cross border M&As and also regularly advises Japanese and non-Japanese clients on various general corporate matters, contract law, labor law, property law, securities laws and various types of business laws in Japan. Given the unique and distinct nature of Japanese business culture and legal and contractual framework from western practices, Atsutoshi always clarifies what non-Japanese clients can and should not expect from contract negotiations, semi-contentious discussions, and employment issues when handling transactions with a Japanese party. Atsutoshi received an LLM from University College London and has international exposure in dealing with clients from across the globe that he understands the confusion non-Japanese clients may face when doing business in Japan. His aim is to demystify Japanese laws and Japanese local market traditions and practices for ease of doing business in the country.AMT is scheduled to open its UK office in the summer of 2022 to provide efficient and timely advice to its existing and growing clientele in the UK and EU and after successfully establishing AMT’s Singapore office, Atsutoshi will be taking the lead in establishing AMT’s presence in London.
