Ashlyn J. "AJ" Dentz

AJ is an associate in the Corporate & Securities practice group. She advises clients on a range of corporate matters, including drafting commercial contracts, assisting with mergers and acquisitions, conducting legal due diligence, and advising on venture capital financings. She also assists clients with forming new business entities, preparing corporate governance documents, and navigating compliance issues related to corporate operations. AJ works with companies at various stages of growth, from startups to established businesses, helping them manage legal risks and achieve their business objectives.

During law school, AJ served as a Legal Extern at the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. She also served as a mediator through the Bluhm Legal Clinic’s Center for Negotiation, Mediation, and Restorative Justice, where she assisted parties with discussions surrounding a range of topics from contract disputes to eviction cases. AJ was selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in 2026.
