Originally from the friendly, small, rural community of Waleska, Georgia, Ashley graduated from Cherokee High School in 2019 before attending the University of Georgia. She earned her degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology in just two years, graduating summa cum laude.
Ashley then moved to Lawrence, Kansas, to attend the University of Kansas School of Law. During law school, she concentrated her studies on criminal law and courtroom advocacy. In only her second year of law school, she competed on one of the University of Kansas mock trial teams. And, during her final year, Ashley represented adults and juveniles in Kansas courts through the Legal Aid Clinic under a student practice license.
Following law school, Ashley joined the Salina Regional Public Defender’s Office, where she represented indigent defendants charged with felony offenses, particularly property and drug crimes. Through her courtroom experience, she developed substantial trial and litigation skills while advocating for clients throughout the criminal justice process.
At Monnat & Spurrier Chartered, Ashley continues to represent clients facing criminal allegations and works to protect their rights at every stage of a case in municipal, state, and federal courts.
