Ariel Sosna is a family law attorney serving clients in San Francisco, California through Van Voorhis & Sosna LLP. Before establishing her own practice, she worked at a San Francisco law firm representing individuals and families in a wide range of family law matters. Her practice includes divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, and other complex family law disputes.
In addition to litigation, Ariel has substantial experience in mediation and collaborative family law. She completed a 40-hour Mediation Intensive Training Program in 2013 and is trained in collaborative divorce. Ariel works with clients seeking negotiated resolutions as well as those involved in contested family law proceedings.
Ariel is active in the legal community and maintains involvement with organizations focused on family law in California and San Francisco. She previously served as co-chair of the Family Law Section of the San Francisco Bar Association’s Barristers Club. She also volunteers with the San Francisco Superior Court as a settlement officer and assists with self-represented litigant status conferences through the San Mateo Superior Court.
A San Francisco native, Ariel enjoys exploring the city’s historic neighborhoods, visiting local farmer’s markets, cooking, and spending time with her son.
