Biography

Tony Buzbee is a trial lawyer and the founder of The Buzbee Law Firmin Houston, Texas. His background as a former Marine Corps officer and his years in high-stakes litigation have shaped his approach to representing clients in complex legal matters, including Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs. Drawing from the discipline, preparation, and leadership developed during his military service, Tony Buzbee has built a practice focused on courtroom advocacy and strategic case preparation.

Before entering the legal profession, Tony Buzbee served as a Recon Marine officer in the United States Marine Corps. His military service included participation in operations in the Persian Gulf and Somalia, where he commanded Marine infantry and special operations capable units. After extensive physical and mental screening, he was selected to serve as a Recon officer with the historic First Marine Regiment. During his service, he earned recognition for leadership and performance, including awards from Navy Dive School and the Amphibious Reconnaissance Course. He ultimately achieved the rank of Captain and received the Navy Commendation Medal for his service.

Tony Buzbee grew up as the son of a butcher and a high school cafeteria worker. He attended Texas A&M University on an ROTC scholarship and served as a Battalion Commander in the Corps of Cadets. Upon graduation, he was recognized as a Distinguished Naval Graduate and Distinguished Student and received honors for leadership within the Corps of Cadets. Texas A&M later named the Buzbee Leadership Learning Center in his honor.

After completing his military service, Tony Buzbee attended the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, he served as managing editor of the Houston Law Review and was elected Class Captain by his classmates. He was also a member of the Order of the Coif, Order of the Barristers, and Order of the Barons. In advocacy competitions, he earned recognition as a state and regional mock trial champion. He graduated summa cum laude, finishing second in his class.

Following law school, Tony Buzbee served as a briefing attorney for a federal district judge in the Southern District of Texas, Galveston Division. He later practiced at a nationally recognized litigation firm before founding The Buzbee Law Firm in Houston. Since establishing the firm, he has represented individuals and businesses in a wide range of litigation matters in Texas and across the country.

Today, Tony Buzbee continues to handle significant litigation matters with an emphasis on trial work and client advocacy.
