Biography
Anthony (Tony) P. Pires, Jr. is a partner at Woodward, Pires & Lombardo, P.A., based in the firm’s Naples, Florida office. His practice focuses on Government Relations Practice, Municipal Law, Land Use and Zoning Law, and related areas of local government and administrative law. He represents public and private clients throughout Collier County, Lee County, and surrounding Southwest Florida communities.
Tony has been Board Certified by The Florida Bar in City, County & Local Government Law since 1998, reflecting his long-standing involvement in matters affecting municipalities, counties, and governmental agencies. His work regularly involves advising on land use and zoning issues, local government operations, regulatory compliance, and interactions with state and local agencies.
Prior to joining the firm, Tony served as Assistant County Attorney from 1979 to 1981 and as Assistant State Attorney for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit from 1975 to 1979 and again from 1981 to 1983. He also worked with Westinghouse Communities of Naples, Inc. from 1983 to 1986. This background provides him with practical insight into government relations, municipal processes, and land use planning in Southwest Florida.
