Ms. Kill's talent, as well as her unique approach, have led to her being consistently recognized as a top lawyer in her field. Ms. Kill, a member of Mensa, has been repeatedly selected as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Illinois by Illinois Super Lawyers. She has also been repeatedly named an Illinois Leading Lawyer and one of the Top 100 Women Consumer Lawyers in Illinois. Ms. Kill has given numerous lectures regarding the practice of family law, specifically the division of retirement benefits incident to divorce. She is very active in the Illinois State Bar Association where she was elected to the Assembly and has held numerous leadership positions. She provides pro bono services through Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, the Center for Disability and Elder Law and the Cabrini Green Legal Aid Clinic. Ms. Kill is a board member of the DePaul College of Law Family Law Center, and a member of the Women’s Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association, and the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. She is a former fellow of the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois, and a past president of the Grandfamilies Program of Chicago.
Ms. Kill has practiced at all levels of the state and federal courts, including successfully litigating a case at the U.S. Supreme Court. She is a member of the federal trial bar and is licensed to practice in Illinois, the Northern District of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
