About Angel
Angel is an experienced lawyer who specialises in administrative law and Commonwealth statutory classes of insurance. She advises clients on a range of issues and regularly represents them in litigated proceedings in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the Federal Court of Australia.
What she does
Angel provides strategic advice on issues involving statutory interpretation, litigation, regulatory frameworks and administrative law. She is skilled at both formal and informal alternative dispute resolution processes, and in achieving successful outcomes following substantive hearings. Angel has also undertaken secondments with several Commonwealth Government clients and has extensive experience at each stage of the administrative decision-making and review process.

Angel works with Commonwealth Government departments and agencies, insurers and self-insured licensees.
Qualifications
Angel holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Technology, Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts (English and Linguistics) from the University of Sydney.
Life before Sparkes
Before joining Sparke Helmore, Angel was a legal associate at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal in Sydney.
Life outside of Sparkes
When she’s not trying out a new restaurant or recipe with her family and friends, you will often find Angel with a cup of tea, a good book or a period drama, sharing her (rather strong) views on literary adaptations. Angel is currently learning Auslan and is fascinated by the language. She also enjoys hiking and is up for any adventure that involves her rescue dog.
