“It is rewarding to help clients complete complex real estate transactions and make critical business decisions. In my 16+ years of practice, I have developed an instinct for the issues that can kill a deal, and focus on what matters most to a client. Clients expect all lawyers to know the law and see the issues, but a lawyer becomes invaluable by bringing calm, clarity, and efficiency to the table.”
With over two decades of experience across the Carolinas and the Southeast, Andrew has built a reputation for more than just technical legal skill. He is known among his clients for a “deal-killer instinct”—the ability to identify and resolve complex obstacles before they can derail a transaction. Whether representing regional developers in 1-million-square-foot retail portfolios or helping local restaurateurs open new locations, Andrew’s focus remains the same: bringing calm, clarity, and efficiency to the closing table.
Andrew handles the usual array of commercial real estate work – acquisitions/dispositions, joint ventures, leasing, financing, development, and management of a variety of property types. He represents developers, brokers, property managers, investors, builders, and more. He also regularly represents companies whose primary business is not real estate, but own or lease real estate, and realizes the impact that real estate decisions have on their business.
His clients range from entrepreneurial individual owners/investors, companies with real estate needs, local and regional developers, and national institutions. By design, most of his clients are long-term relationships. By being selective about the engagements and clients he accepts, he can provide counsel tailored to a client's specific business objectives, with a high level of accessibility and service.
In addition to commercial real estate matters, Andrew provides general business counsel to individuals and companies from start-up and formation, to exit planning, and everything in between.
