Leading the Bennett & Philp Lawyers Insolvency and Bankruptcy Team, Managing Director, Andrew Lambros has extensive experience in corporate insolvency and personal bankruptcy matters.
Andrew has acted for administrators, liquidators and receivers in a wide range of large complex insolvency matters which has included:
- advising and assisting the administrators of a large building company which went into administration with several hundred half-finished apartments and making sure they were subsequently completed and sold;
- Acting for administrators in selling a corporate group of 13 pharmacies across 4 states with substantial court supervision;
- successfully suing the directors of a company that had gone into liquidation in a 13 day Federal Court trial which clarified a number of issues in insolvency law relating to director liability.
He has acted for directors, shareholders, business partners and personal debtors in resolving their financial problems with fellow directors and shareholders, liquidators, administrators and bankruptcy trustees. He also has a particular interest in resolving financial problems for clients in work-out arrangements without requiring the appointment of a liquidator or bankruptcy trustee.
He is a professional member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association. He has also been published several times in the Australian Insolvency Journal and the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association Journal.
