At Rhodium Law LLC, Andrew Goodwin represents individuals, families, and businesses throughout Cleveland, Ohio in matters involving Elder Law, Trusts and Estates, estate planning, business transactions, and real estate matters. His practice is centered on helping clients protect their interests, plan for the future, and navigate important legal and financial decisions with confidence.
Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Goodwin spent more than a decade working in the Information Technology industry. His background includes management roles with mid-sized companies, senior-level positions at a Fortune 500 brokerage firm, and work with a major state university. This experience provides him with a practical perspective when advising clients on legal, operational, and technology-related matters.
While attending law school, Mr. Goodwin pursued a broad range of practical legal experiences through clinical programs, legal research work, and private practice opportunities. He served as a summer associate with a nationally recognized law firm and also worked with a cybersecurity startup that was later acquired by IBM. These experiences helped shape his approach to problem-solving, client communication, and strategic legal planning.
Mr. Goodwin began his legal career with a Cleveland law firm where his work focused on commercial agreements, privacy law, and cybersecurity matters. He later served as Director of Legal Business Affairs for a startup company before transitioning to an in-house counsel role with a global hospital system. His diverse professional background allows him to advise clients with an understanding of both legal and business considerations.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Goodwin became the full-time caregiver for his mother following her dementia diagnosis. That experience deepened his understanding of the legal, financial, and personal challenges families often face when planning for aging, long-term care, and incapacity. Motivated by that experience, he founded Rhodium Law LLC to provide thoughtful legal guidance in Elder Law and Trusts and Estates matters while continuing to assist clients with business and real estate transactions.
Today, Mr. Goodwin works with clients across the Cleveland area on estate planning, wills, trusts, probate matters, long-term care planning, business matters, and related legal needs. He is committed to providing practical guidance tailored to each client’s goals and circumstances.
