Andrew collaborates closely with a diverse range of clients in the construction sector, including owners, developers, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, and material suppliers, providing guidance on both private and public projects. His expertise in public construction encompasses federal projects and those conducted under Massachusetts General Law Chapters 30, 149, and 149A.

He is engaged in numerous types of construction activities such as vertical and horizontal construction and demolition projects, spanning office buildings, student housing, educational institutions, hotels, residential complexes, elder housing, retail spaces, restaurants, theaters, hospitals, museums, historical sites, athletic facilities, marine infrastructures, transit stations, parking garages, and bridges.

Andrew handles a variety of contractual matters, negotiating and drafting general contracts, construction management agreements, design/build agreements, design professional agreements, subcontracts, joint venture agreements, and other construction-related contracts. His work supports projects utilizing various delivery models including the traditional design-bid-build, CM at risk, design-build and integrated project delivery.

Throughout the construction process, Andrew offers timely guidance to clients, helping them to mitigate risks and oversee potential claims and litigation, ensuring the preservation of rights should arbitration or litigation become necessary.

Additionally, he provides assistance regarding mechanic’s lien formation and dissolution, surety bond claims, and resolving change order and delay disputes.

Andrew advises clients on public bid protests and navigates protests against bids in federal, state, and municipal projects.

He represents clients in state and federal courts and frequently engages in arbitration and mediation proceedings.

Andrew shares his knowledge through lectures on construction law topics, serving trade associations, educational organizations, clients, and other groups.
