Q&A

My direct, personal handling of every client's case.

Q: Will I able to talk with you directly about my case?

A: Yes - every client has my direct phone. I welcome their calls and messages, and try to get back with them within a day.

Q: Will you tell me if I have a good case?

A: Yes - As it should be, I am candid with clients about the aspects of their cases that are 'good' and 'bad'. I think its important that clients understand how the other side views their claims.

Q: Will I (the client) have to do a lot of work on my case?

A: I explain to all clients that their cooperation, and availability to answer questions and provide information, is very important - but they usually do not need to 'do a lot of work' on their cases.

Q: Will my case 'get the same result' as a similar case I saw in the news?

A: I work with clients to help them understand that medical malpractice and personal injury cases are unique - as they are - so they can more easily understand why every case's outcome is different.

The bankruptcy of a trust company that handled funds exclusively for tort victims with special needs resulted in many children losing all funds that had been recovered in their tort cases. The  bankruptcy was massive and made national news. I was hired by one parent to try and recover her child's money. I discovered that the law firm/lawyers who created her child's trust had also - undisclosed to her - been the long time lawyers for the (now bankrupt) trust. After hotly contested litigation against that law firm, I recovered for my client's child the funds that disappeared when the trust company went bankrupt.

Understanding that every client's injury and loss can never be fixed - no matter how large the recovery. I admire and am in awe of my clients for taking care of their families and themselves in extremely difficult situations.

During law school I clerked at one of the finest plaintiffs firms in Florida. That ignited my interest in helping people who were badly harmed by others. Following that, I trained with, and worked with, some of the best lawyers who have ever worked in this specialty. I continue to learn from my clients, friends and colleagues, and hope that continues for a long time!
