Andrew Ranks is a partner and trial attorney at Claggett, Sykes & Garza, LLC ("CSG"), in Connecticut. Originally from Gardiner, Maine, and the son of two teachers, he relocated to Connecticut and has spent nearly 20 years building a reputation for passionate advocacy on behalf of injured clients.
Ranks began his legal career serving as a legal research clerk in the Judicial District of Danbury, where he performed legal research and writing duties for Connecticut Superior Court Judges. He joined CSG, one of the nation’s premier plaintiff injury trial firms, and has spent his career fighting for seriously injured clients and their families.
Ranks was a lead trial attorney with the legal team that secured a $100 million jury verdict on behalf of a man who suffered catastrophic injuries in a Connecticut warehouse incident and his wife -- the largest bodily injury verdict in Connecticut history. Ranks handles all matters of complex personal injury claims, including medical malpractice, product liability, and mass shooting litigation.
In addition to his trial work, Ranks has spoken nationally to plaintiff's trial lawyers, including at Trial Lawyers University (October 2022) and at the firm’s own "$100 Million Day" program (November 2023).
Andrew is licensed to practice in Connecticut, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing trips with his wife and two daughters and family board game nights at home.
