Andrea L. Fair

Before joining Ward, Smith & Hill in 2016, Andrea Fair spent five years in Houston, where she practiced complex commercial litigation. There her practice focused on patent infringement, construction disputes, and insurance coverage and defense work. She has handled every stage of litigation, from taking and defending depositions, preparing pre-trial and post-trial briefings, and handling pre-trial and post-trial hearings, to trying cases to jury verdict or final arbitration award.

Since then, Ms. Fair has continued to expand her courtroom experience, serving as lead trial counsel, participating in jury selection, examining and cross-examining fact and expert witnesses, as well as handling oral argument on pretrial, discovery, and other motions. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Fair holds degrees in Economics and Spanish Teaching.

Ms. Fair earned her law degree with High Honors from The University of Texas School of Law in 2011, where she was honored as a member of the Order of Barristers, a member of the Order of the Coif, and a 2011 Chancellor. She is licensed to practice in the State of Texas, the United States district courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western districts of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
