In 1983, Ms. Gittler argued and prevailed before the United States Supreme Court in Arizona Governing Committee v. Norris, a case which held it is unlawful for an employer to pay lower monthly benefits to women than men upon retirement.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Ms. Gittler was a member of the law firm of Frazer Ryan Goldberg Arnold & Gittler LLP. Early in her career, Ms. Gittler was Executive Director of the Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest, where her practice concentrated in the areas of employment discrimination and the rights of persons with mental and physical disabilities.

Ms. Gittler graduated from Northwestern Law School and obtained her undergraduate degree from Oberlin College. Ms. Gittler has been selected for “Best Lawyers in America®,” as a Southwest Super Lawyer, and one of the top employment lawyers in Chambers USA. In 2006, Ms. Gittler was named one of the top 500 litigators in the country by Law Dragon. Ms. Gittler has also been recognized by the State Bar of Arizona and the Maricopa County Bar Association as one of 100 Outstanding Women and Minority Leaders. She maintains an AV® Preeminent™ rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
