Amy E. Todisco holds Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Government from Skidmore College and Juris Doctor and Master of Laws (Taxation) degrees from Quinnipiac University School of Law; is a frequent lecturer on estate planning, Medicaid and related elder law planning matters (including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives, Conservatorships and Medicaid/Title 19 planning) and is active in a myriad of community and professional organization activities.

Amy’s practice concentration is in the fields of Elder Law, Estate Planning, Trusts and Estates and Real Estate.

Some of Amy’s community activities have included being: Democratic Party Candidate for Judge of Probate – District of Trumbull, Easton and Monroe (2010 & 2012); Member of the Board of Directors of the Southwestern CT Agency on Aging, Inc. (SWCAA); Member of the Board of Trustees of the Greater Bridgeport Symphony; Town of Trumbull Ethics Commission, Alternate Member; Vice President of the Stratford Federation of Democratic Women; a Member of the Board of Directors and President of the Trumbull, Connecticut Chamber of Commerce; a Member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of The Bridgeport Regional Business Council; the Chair of the Professional Division and Campaign Captain of the United Way of Eastern Fairfield County; a Member of the Board of Directors of the Leadership Greater Bridgeport Alumni Association; a Member of the Bridgeport Arts Council; a Member of the Parish Advisory Council and Religious Education Instructor at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull, Connecticut, and currently is a Lay Member of the St. Catherine of Siena Corporation..

Additionally, Amy is the Senior Topical Editor (Elder Law) for the Connecticut Bar Journal; is a former member of the Connecticut Bar Association Task Force on Grievance Procedures; and was the author of “Clients Are Never Too Old to Present Ethical Dilemmas,” The Connecticut Law Tribune Magazine – Malpractice, Grievance and Professional Responsibility Supplement, p. 18 (May 4, 1998).

Prior to forming the firm of Braunstein and Todisco in 1989, Amy was associated with the Bridgeport law firm of Simko, Elstein & Braunstein, where she concentrated her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate administration, real estate transactions and multi-state taxation planning and compliance matters.

In addition to being licensed to practice in the Courts of the State of Connecticut, Amy is also admitted to practice in the Courts of the State of New York and before the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the United States Supreme Court. Amy is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America – 2014.
