Energy Regulatory Law
Amie Colby represents clients in the energy industry before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC”). Amie has particular experience with vertically-integrated utilities and transmission-related issues, including transmission rate cases, compliance with open access transmission tariff (“OATT”) provisions, FERC regulations related to Standards of Conduct (“SOC”), national and regional reliability standards and OASIS posting requirements. In addition, due to increased focus on the development of renewable energy, Amie has examined FERC’s transmission and interconnection queuing practices as well as the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978 (“PURPA”) and FERC’s QF and EWG regulations.
Amie chairs the firm’s Regulatory and Finance Department and serves on the firm’s Management Team and Policy Committee.
