Biography

Amanda C. Waddell is a member of Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell PLC, where she focuses her practice on healthcare liability defense and professional liability defense. Her work includes the defense of physicians, hospitals, healthcare providers, and legal professionals in Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants. Based in Memphis, Tennessee, Amanda represents clients throughout Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi in state and federal trial courts, appellate courts, multi-district litigation, and before professional licensing and regulatory boards.

Before joining the firm in 2007, Amanda practiced law in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for eight years. During that time, she handled mass tort medical device and pharmaceutical defense matters, medical malpractice defense, legal malpractice defense, and general insurance defense. Her appellate practice has resulted in multiple published decisions from the Mississippi Supreme Court and the Mississippi Court of Appeals.

Amanda is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Her regional practice includes the Memphis and Shelby County metropolitan area, West Tennessee, Northeastern Arkansas, and North Mississippi, where she regularly defends healthcare providers and professionals in complex litigation matters.

Amanda has been recognized by Super Lawyers annually since 2013 in the area of Medical Malpractice – Defendants. She has also been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America since 2018, including Best Lawyers – Women in the Law.
